APPLY FOR A WISH

Wedding or vow-renewals for couples facing Terminal illness or life-altering health circumstances.

“An incredible experience that we will never forget. Everything was perfect. We are so appreciative of your organization and everyone involved. The evening was magical and filled with love. Thank you, thank you!”

- Karen and Richard -

When faced with a terminal illness or life-altering health circumstance, most couples are consumed by the physical, emotional and financial burden of fighting their disease. While they might desire a wedding or a vow renewal ceremony, they lack the physical and mental resources to bring it to fruition.

Although you may want to celebrate your shared love and give yourselves (and your loved ones) some respite from the challenging circumstances, the very act of thinking about the wedding can tax away your energy.

At Wish Upon a Wedding, we understand this predicament, and we would love to hear your story.

We welcome any application aligned with our mission to help those facing terminal illness or life-altering health circumstances. Please understand that we ask for a doctor’s verification as part of our application process. This helps us ensure that we can continue to help couples impacted by severe health-related issues.

Typically, the requested wedding date must be within six months of your application. However, we can also grant urgent wishes, should the health circumstance warrant.

The application process is simple:

  1. We encourage you to read the basic requirements for wish recipients before submitting your application.

  2. Apply (family friends cannot apply on your behalf, but your partner, caretaker, or hospice worker can).

A member of our team will reach out to you to let you know the next steps. If you are selected for an interview your doctor will have to submit a verification form (which we will send to their practice directly). You may want to consider giving your doctor a head’s up at your next visit that this may be coming in the next 1-2 weeks from Wish Upon a Wedding to help speed up the application process.

Not all applications will be approved. Wish Upon a Wedding reserves the right to deny or cancel a Wish at any time. Wish Recipients must comprehend, agree to and comply with the terms of all applications and contracts they sign throughout the Wish granting process.
