A Dayton Wish

On February 20, 2022, Demeshia (Demi) and Tim gathered with loved ones to renew their vows at the gorgeous Dayton Art Institute.

Demi and Tim first met about 12 years ago through mutual friends. They hit it off immediately and the rest is history. The two dated for about five years before saying “I do” in a very small ceremony at the local courthouse.

Demi’s health issues began when she was just 19 years old. A mysterious dark circle appeared on her arm and while her doctor initially didn’t think it was anything to be concerned about, later testing revealed that it was systemic scleroderma. Overtime, Demi’s scleroderma has advanced considerably and has resulted in continued complications, including the amputation of five fingers and one toe, as well as hypertension and blood pressure issues.

We loved granting this wish for Demi and Tim and were so incredibly thankful for the hard work of our amazing team, led by Fallon of Blank Canvas Weddings. From the breathtaking backdrop of the Dayton Art Institute, to the gorgeous florals, delicious cuisine and extra special details, Demi and Tim were treated to a day of beauty and were surrounded by love. They laughed and caught up with friends, danced to great music and were blessed by thoughtful, lovely toasts.

We couldn’t have pulled off this extra special day without the tireless work of our wish granters – the lifeblood of our organization. Thank you, thank you, thank you to this wonderful team:
