An Oregon Wedding Wish

On November 7, 2019, JoAnn and Will stood before their children, family and friends on a beautiful Oregon evening at The Village Green to renew their vows after 40 beautiful years of marriage.

For this sweet couple, who have been together since high school, the day was a celebration of their beautiful family and their unwavering commitment to love – through so many ups and downs.

After many wonderful years spent building a family and a home together, Joann and Will’s life took an unexpected turn. Joann had undergone a routine colonoscopy, which had revealed small cancerous tumor in her intestines. She had the tumor removed but did not receive any treatment. Unbeknownst to her, part of the tumor remained and continued to grow without anyone knowing it. Eventually the cancer metastasized to her lymph nodes. She underwent another surgery, followed by chemotherapy. In 2018, her cancer sadly spread again, this time to her lungs. She is currently enduring more chemotherapy and is battling a tremendous amount of side effects, pain and fatigue.

We fell for JoAnn and Will the minute we met them and we’re thrilled to help fulfill their wish for a vow renewal. We enlisted the help of Dawn Keeney of DXD Events and could not have been more pleased with the amazing wish granters she brought on board.

From start to finish, the day was filled with laughter, joyful hugs, touching speeches and so much love. From the gorgeous ceremony site, complete with twinkling lights, to the breathtaking flowers, decadent food, delicious cakes, and special touches, every detail was perfect.

We couldn’t have done it without this fine team. Thank you friends, you helped make another amazing wish come true!
