A Christmas Wish - Pittsburgh Style

On December 18th 2019, Jill and Chuck stood before their family and dear friends to renew their vows at HIP at the Flashlight Factory in Pittsburgh, PA.

This adorable couple first met 30 years ago while working at Gabe’s retail store. They immediately became friends, started dating a year later and were married on October 24th, 1998. Three years later, they were blessed with a baby girl.

This past spring, Chuck began to have some troubling health problems. He had developed a nagging cough that was progressively getting worse. Eventually he started having trouble breathing and went to see a doctor.

Sadly, Chuck was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer that had spread to his lungs, liver and bones. He immediately started an aggressive chemotherapy treatment plan, followed by radiation and hormone therapy. He continues to bravely battle his disease with loving wife and daughter holding his hand each step of the way.

Jill and Chuck stole our hearts from day one and it was a true honor to grant their wish for a vow renewal. Our sweet friend, Nicole Fauls, of Urban Allure Events, went above and beyond in securing an A + team of wish granters. These fine folks generously gave of their time, talents and resources to shower our couple with a magical, Christmas-themed celebration.

From the industrial-yet-luxe space, to the gorgeous, emerald-toned color scheme, rustic touches, delicious cuisine and decadent cake, Chuck and Jill enjoyed a beautiful day surrounded by the people they love.
