Angela and Brad first met as little kids growing up in the same neighborhood. Their mothers were friends and they spent their childhood playing together and becoming good friends. Following high school they went their separate ways. After many years they reconnected and immediately hit it off. Before long they fell in love and began planning a life together.

Unfortunately, cancer had other plans for Angela and Brad’s relationship. After previously battling cancer twice in the past, Angela was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer that has metastasized to her spleen. Wish Upon a Wedding loved meeting this incredible couple and was honored to grant their wish for a wedding.

Our friends over at Piece of Cake 5K have created an exciting new 5K race in Wisconsin to celebrate wedding season and to give back to Wish Upon a Wedding. Lucky us!

On December 9, 2018, Dalen and Stacie stood before family and close friends to unite their lives together at The Studios at Overland Crossing. For the couple, who first met and fell in love online, despite having 500 miles between them, the day celebrated a bond that has faced enormous challenges.

Shawn and James entire relationship has been marked by cancer. However, throughout all of their struggles, their love has continued to grow and their story has become a testament to everyone around them. We were thrilled to learn of this beautiful couple and were honored to grant them the wedding of their dreams.

Deborah and Greg were first married in a blizzard 25 years ago. They’ve seen a lot of ups and downs throughout their marriage, including cancer. Throughout it all, the two remain closer than ever. We have loved getting to know this beautiful couple and cannot wait to grant them the vow renewal of their dreams.

Stephanie and Darryl first met at a friend’s party a few years back. Just six months into their relationship, Stephanie received the news that no young woman wants to hear. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Wish Upon a Wedding loved meeting this sweet couple and was thrilled to to grant them this wish.

Esther and Ernesto were living the life they loved and were making plans for a family when cancer reared it’s ugly head. We’ve loved getting to know this sweet young couple and cannot wait to grant them the wedding of their dreams in just a couple of days.

On October 11, 2018, Ashlee and Brett stood before family and friends to commit their lives to one another. For the young couple, the past few years have been a host of joys and sorrow involving the birth of their son and a serious cancer diagnosis.

On November 2, 2018, David and Angie stood before their family and friends and renewed their vows on the grounds of Roanoke’s breathtaking Plantation of Sunnybrook. The couple had recently celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary and the day marked the perfect occasion to remember all of the very good times they’ve experienced together.

Three years ago David was diagnosed with an aggressive form of colon cancer that metastasized to his liver. It was his dream to renew his vows in front of their sweet little girl and to gift her the gift of a wedding dance with her daddy.
