On October 8, 2019, Gilbert and Kiletta will stand before family and friends to exchange vows and begin their lives together as husband and wife.

This adorable couple first met online in 2015. At the time, Kiletta had been communicating with several different people on her dating app when she noticed that she kept getting messages from same person – Gilbert. She initially ignored the messages because she didn’t think that they would be a good match. Eventually though, Gilbert’s persistence and humor paid off. They started communicating and ended up having a three-hour phone conversation. They met up for coffee and the rest is history.

After dating for three years, the couple decided to get married. Their plans were sadly put on hold when Gilbert began to have some health issues. He had developed some severe stomach pains and decided to get checked out. He underwent a colonoscopy and a body scan which revealed a devastating diagnosis – colon cancer that had spread to his liver.

Gilbert began an aggressive chemotherapy treatment plan and is trying his best to remain positive and hopeful. Wish Upon a Wedding has loved getting to know this sweet couple and simply cannot wait to grant their very deserving wish for a wedding.
