On November 20, 2022, Rebecca and Jim will stand with loved ones to renew their vows after 15 years of marriage.

Our sweet couple first met in 2003 while both studying to be teachers. After they graduated, they took jobs at the same school and began getting to know one another. They immediately hit it off and started dating in secret. They quickly fell in love and spent the next few years deepening their relationship. They were married in 2007 and went on to have two beautiful children.

Fast forward to 2020. Jim was on a rafting trip with his brothers when he suffered a massive seizure. He was transported to the emergency room where they discovered a cancerous tumor on his brain. He underwent a brain surgery a week later, during which he suffered a stroke, which resulted in paralysis on the left side of his body. He was admitted to an acute care rehab facility to learn how to relive life again. Once he was able to come home, he began intense radiation.

The last couple of years have taken a toll on Rebecca and Jim’s life. In addition to another brain surgery, Jim has experienced countless seizures, incredibly difficult chemotherapy and radiation and the loss of his memory.

Jim and Rebecca’s story has deeply moved us and we’re honored to help this Star Wars-loving-couple renew their vows. We teamed up with a wonderful planner in Blush Bouquet and cannot wait to see all the fun she has in store for our amazing couple.
